Ready to Work for South Carolina

Our military is second to none. The men and women who are serving and have served deserve our total support.

However, many of our South Carolina political leaders are happy to wrap themselves in the U.S. flag only to vote against Veterans Affairs appropriations.

It was just in the last few years that funding for medical care and other benefits of our veterans became a priority.

As more troops are called to serve in Afghanistan and Iraq, the U.S. Congress must have an unwavering commitment to give them the resources needed to fight each and every battle. When the wounded and weary return to us after fighting bravely on the battlefield, we as a country must be there for them.

My years as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force not only helped shape me into the person I am today, but gave me a great appreciation for all of our men and women in uniform.

Due to the economic downturn, some tough decisions will need to be made concerning the military. First-hand experience serving in the military will be vital to setting priorities that will have long-term effects on our national security.

That is why I want to be your Congresswoman.
