I am honored to have worked so tirelessly with all of you. The next few years for South Carolina will be difficult but we all did everything we could to make it otherwise.
First, the staff was unbelievable. You kept going when most would have definitely called it quits. We did run the most organized campaign this state has ever seen.
Nowhere in this country are there better volunteers than those that contributed hundreds of hours to phone banking, canvassing and sending contributions to this campaign. I am humbled by the tremendous effort each of you put into our efforts.
John Dyer is the best man in the world, and once again, I am so thrilled he married me. He has been my rock. My entire family has been so supportive, and I can’t thank them enough for their patience and support while we have been on the campaign trail.
We at least opened the minds of a few people in South Carolina. There was a purpose in our efforts to put us on a better path. I just simply cannot begin to thank each and every one of you for all that you did for our campaign.
By far, the best part of this experience is the hundreds of new friends I have made. I know that each of you will continue to make a positive difference wherever you go. May we each take what we have learned and continue the work to make our world a better place.

It was unfortunate that SC didn’t see the need for someone of your character and stance to lead us. We were HONORED to be part of your campaign. Please don’t be discouraged by the loss. Lets see how their choices do for them. They just may come around next time….

It was such a privilege to have been able to work for your campaign. You are an amazing and inspiring person. I truly hope that you will remain active in the SC political arena and in the Democratic Party in whatever way works for you. In 19 precincts in Aiken County, you got at least 48% of the vote, and in some much more. I hope we will continue to see you often at political events.

The honor was mine. I am profoundly saddened by your loss as well as the loss of Frank and Vincent. I had such high hopes and expectations for my new state. I hope that our paths will cross again in the future and we can right the unholy dismantling of optimism and progress.
